Irving is home to over 800 eating establishments, ranging from casual to fine dining and offering cuisines from across the globe. Taste of Irving offers an opportunity to sample selections from the menus of these restaurants, while enjoying live music and dance performances, children's rides and activities, and a marketplace featuring unique and handmade items. Entertainment and Attractions
Taste of Irving features more than just great food! Enjoy shows by several high-energy bands on the Main Stage, as well as special performances by professional, cultural dance groups. The Fun Zone is filled with free activities for children. Visit the petting zoo, ride a pony, take on the giant slide and get balloons and face painting at this family friendly event. Don't forget your wallet, as there will be dozens of crafters selling unique jewelry, artwork, furniture, clothing and more! All food and craft vendors accept cash; ATM machines will be available on-site.
This festival kicks off the start of summer, a time when families are seeking activities to keep children engaged. Inside of Cimarron Park Recreation Center, the City of Irving will be holding a Summer Programs Expo. Get information about summer day camps, aquatic programs, events and classes at the Irving Arts Center, recreation centers and libraries. The Summer Programs Expo will be open throughout Taste of Irving.
Food vendor booths are available only to Irving-based eating establishments. Spaces are $100 for a 10 x 10 or $150 for a 10 x 20; all food vendor booth spaces include tent, table, chairs and electricity. Registration forms will be available in March 2014.
Craft vendor booths are available to vendors selling handmade, custom or unique items in one or more of the following categories: jewelry, clothing, bags and accessories, art and decor, furniture, pet accessories, or pre-packaged foods (spices, dips, jellies, etc). No information, demonstration or corporate booths are permitted. Corporations wishing to participate may find sponsorship information here
. Spaces are $75 for a 10 x 10 or $125 for a 10 x 20; all craft vendor spaces include tent, table, chairs and electricity. Registration forms will be available in March 2014.
Directions and Parking
Located in the Valley Ranch community at the intersection of E. Valley Ranch Pkwy and Cimarron Trail, Cimarron Park is easily reached from any direction.
Attendee parking is located at Ranchview High School
(8401 E. Valley Ranch Pkwy). Free event shuttles will transport attendees to the event; shuttles can accommodate strollers. Shuttle buses will operate continuously from noon to 6:30 p.m.
-From I-635, SH-161 or SH-114: exit MacArthur Road and go north. Turn right onto S. Valley Ranch Pkwy, then right onto E. Valley Ranch Pkwy. Ranchview High School is located on the right side of the street.
Handicapped parking is available on the north side of Cimarron Park; from MacArthur Road turn right onto Cimarron Trail and the lot will be located on the right side of the road.
Parking at Cimarron Park Recreation Center during Taste of Irving is pass restricted and not open to the public.
-Due to the food focus of this event, pets are not permitted at Taste of Irving. Service animals are welcome.
-City ordinance prohibits alcohol in Irving parks; alcohol is not permitted.
-Please support Irving restaurants and leave coolers and ice chests at home.
