All About Irving

Welcome to the beautiful and vibrant City of Irving, a great city in which to live, work and play.

With 220,000 residents and the largest office park in North Texas, Irving serves a vital role in our state economy.

Irving stands as a significant regional, national and global transportation hub. We are home to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the fourth largest airport in the world. From here, travelers can access all major U.S. cities within four hours. Additionally, heavy rail, light rail and a number of highways run through Irving, a tremendous benefit to residents and businesses. In fact — more than 10 percent of U.S. Fortune 500 corporations either are headquartered or have a major presence here; corporations like Exxon Mobil, Kimberly-Clark, Flowserve and Fluor.

Our corporate partnerships contribute 72 percent to Irving’s tax base, which means our residents benefit from taxes and fees that are some of the lowest in the region. The favorable cost of living combined with great schools, beautiful neighborhoods and a central location make Irving an ideal place in which to live.

We value our residents and pride ourselves on offering fabulous amenities. From state-of-the art libraries to quality golf courses to water parks. Runners, hikers, and bikers enjoy our Campión Trails, a beautiful trail that runs along the Trinity River and ultimately will be part of a significant regional trail connecting multiple cities throughout the Metroplex.

Our recreation centers provide programming for all age groups — young and not as young — and the Irving Arts Center and Irving Symphony offer world-renowned artists and exhibits for all to enjoy. Residents also have a selection of schools in Irving — public and private, colleges and universities.

And there’s much more to come. Our economy is booming and new projects are in the works; commercial and residential.

Thank you for visiting our website — we invite you to visit often to remain current on the latest Irving news, event dates and times and other useful community information.
