Irving water customers are required to conserve water by adhering to the following restrictions:- All landscape watering is prohibited.
- Use of water to wash any motor vehicle, motorbike, boat, trailer, airplane or other vehicle not in the immediate interest of public health, safety, and welfare is prohibited.
- Use of water for the draining and refill of any indoor or outdoor swimming pool or jacuzzi-type pool is prohibited.
- Washing down of any sidewalks, walkways, driveways, parking lots, tennis courts, or other hard-surfaced areas are prohibited.
- Use of water to wash down buildings or structures for purposes other than immediate fire protection or preparation for painting is prohibited.
- Foundations and new plantings may only be watered with a hand-held garden hose, soaker hose, bucket, or drip irrigation for up to 2 hours and is limited to the twice per week schedule discussed under Stage 2.
- Use of water for dust control is prohibited.
- Nurseries may water plant stock between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m and is limited to the twice per week schedule discussed under Stage 2.
- The use of water for construction purposes under special treatment is prohibited.
- Operation of any ornamental fountain or pond for aesthetic or scenic purposes is prohibited, except where necessary to support aquatic life or where such fountains or ponds are equipped with a recirculation system.
