
Road Closure Advisories
July 15-Nov. 25 | Briery Road between Rock Island and Conflans Roads
Due to the reconstruction of Briery Road at the former railroad crossing, improvements to Rock Island Road, and the construction of the railroad bridge superstructure over Briery Road, Briery Road between Rock Island and Conflans Roads will be closed at the Trinity Railway Express bridge beginning at 9 a.m. July 15. Detour routes are posted. Local traffic only will be accommodated between Conflans Road and the main driveway of the Briery Road Service Center. The closure is expected to reopen Nov.25.

Heavy Truck Traffic
Grauwyler Road between Nursery and Story Roads
Contractors working on current city construction projects have been given permission to use Grauwyler Road, between Nursery and Story Roads as a heavy truck haul route. This segment of Grauwyler Road currently is prohibited for through heavy trucks per city ordinance. We apologize about any inconvenience that this may cause during this temporary situation.

Please make sure to use caution around all construction zones along the corridor and observe any changed speed zones or detours, and be aware of the workers delivering the project. As with any construction, weather may impact construction schedules.
Interstate 35 is scheduled to close according to the following:
- Northbound lanes 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., night of Nov. 16
- Southbound lanes 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nights of Nov. 17 and 18
Construction is moving along rapidly, and a large majority of the construction activity that required lane restrictions around Harry Hines Boulevard has been completed. Crews have finished a large majority of the bridge substructure work and are headed west into the Trinity River area. All Orange Line Construction traffic control has been removed from Harry Hines Boulevard. Construction of the bridge superstructure (deck, rail, etc.) may require some temporary night closures (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.). Motorists are advised to monitor Orange Line construction alerts to help minimize any impacts, as this area is still under construction. Information regarding these closures will be communicated.
Heavy construction will be continued along Teleport Boulevard from Riverside Drive through to Las Colinas Boulevard and into the median of Lake Carolyn Parkway. Traffic in the Teleport/Riverside area will continue to be in its current configuration for the next several weeks. Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through this area and obey the advised, posted speed limit of 25 miles per hour. Pedestrians need to be aware of construction zones and use alternate walking or jogging routes. Teleport Boulevard will continue be closed permanently at State Highway 114 to through traffic. Access to business drives along Teleport will remain open. Additional lane restrictions in this area may be required for crews to complete activities. Please use caution in this area with changing traffic configurations.
Harry Hines/Northwest Highway/Interstate35E/Justice Way
Crews will continue bridge construction from just west of Harry Hines/ Northwest Highway/Spur 482 toward Justice Way requiring various lane restrictions and traffic delays. Motorists are advised to monitor Orange Line Construction alerts to help minimize travel impacts. Please plan your routes, allow extra time to reach your destination, and observe any changes in speed limits or detours.
There will continue to be temporary night closures from (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.) on the ramp to eastbound Northwest Highway from Harry Hines Boulevard for crews to complete the remainder of the bridge construction.

- 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Nov. 17: Should and right land of westbound Spur 482
- 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Nov. 18: Justice Way and the shoulder and right lane of westbound Spur 482
Bridge superstructure construction
Following girder erection operations, additional night closures will be required to avoid bridge superstructure construction activities over live traffic. The tentative schedule is as follows and does not account for weather delays or other schedule impacts.
Week of Nov. 30
- 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Night of Nov.30: Stemmons Trail at Spur 482, eastbound Spur 482 turnaround onto westbound Storey Lane and westbound Storey Lane Ramp to westbound Spur 482.
- 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Nov. 30-Dec. 6: Expect night closures each night on northbound Interstate 35.
Week of Dec. 7
- 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Week of Dec. 7: Expect night closures each night on southbound Interstate 35E.
Trinity River
Bridge construction has moved into the Trinity River area. Motorists can expect to see increased activity in the Trinity as the bridge structure continues to move west.

Spur 482/FedEx/Central Freight
Crews will continue utility relocation work along the Spur 482 frontage road in front of FedEx and Central Freight.

- Restrictions of the right lane of the Spur 482 frontage road may be required around the areas of Fed Ex and Central Freight for utility relocations, walls, and grading activities.
- There will continue to be lane restrictions of southbound Justice Way near Spur 482 as crews continue bridge construction in this area.
State Highway 114 to Frontage Road
Expect construction activity and increased truck traffic for the differed Loop 12 Station along the 114 frontage road around Loop 12 and the old Texas Stadium.

Teleport Boulevard/Riverside Drive
There will continue to be heavy construction activity along Teleport from Riverside Drive through to Las Colinas Boulevard. Traffic along Riverside Drive/Teleport Boulevard will continue to be in its current configuration for the next several weeks as crews continue utility relocation work.
Teleport Boulevard will continue be closed permanently at State Highway 114 to through traffic. Access to business drives along Teleport will remain open.

- Teleport will continue to be closed to through traffic just after the Miss Bloomingdale’s Academy entrance.
- Expect lane restrictions along Teleport Boulevard and Las Colinas Boulevard as construction crews continue utility relocation work. Some activities may require night work to minimize impacts to motorists in the area.
- Utility relocation activities for the Teleport/Riverside area is scheduled to wrap up during the month of November. Various temporary lane restrictions may be required for crews to complete their activities in this area.
Lake Carolyn Parkway
Construction activity is quickly ramping up in along the Lake Carolyn Parkway area. Activities will include utility relocations that will require various lane closures and traffic configurations to provide a safe work space for crews to complete construction activities.
Pedestrians need to remember that it is not safe for them to enter construction zones, so they will need to use alternate pet walking and jogging routes. Motorists are also asked to monitor construction updates and observe and changed speed limits or traffic configurations when traveling through this construction zone. Additional lane restrictions and rolling closures may be required to provide a safe work area as crews continue to progress with the project.

Road closures/lane restrictions
- There will be lane restrictions on the inside, median lanes of both northbound and southbound Lake Carolyn Parkway for utility relocation activities, this work will be on-going for several weeks.
- Utility relocations along Las Colinas Boulevard and into Lake Carolyn Parkway will be on-going during October. These relocations will require various lane restrictions and a “rolling” closure that will direct traffic around the activity happening within the median.
- Crews will continue utility relocations on a section of southbound Lake Carolyn Parkway. The traffic on southbound Lake Carolyn Parkway will be continue to be detoured to the northbound side of Lake Carolyn.
- Parkway from just south of O’Connor to California Crossing. The traffic configuration will involve one lane of northbound traffic and one lane of southbound traffic both traveling on the northbound lanes of Lake Carolyn Parkway (side furthest from Lake Carolyn).
- Crews are scheduled to continue track work requiring the closure of a section of northbound Lake Carolyn Parkway beginning just north of California Crossing and stretching south toward Las Colinas Boulevard. Signage will be present to direct motorists.
Irving Convention Center
Expect to see increased truck traffic and construction activity around the Convention Center area starting with grading operations. Drill shaft activities are scheduled to begin around mid-November in this area.

Road closures/lane restrictions
Expect construction activity for the Irving Convention Center Station along Spur 348. Lane restrictions may be required along Spur 348 for crews to complete these activities.
North Lake College/Carpenter Ranch
Construction activity is scheduled to move into the Carpenter Ranch area around the Meadow Creek/Greenpark Drive intersection starting with utility relocations in early November. Activity will move into the North Lake College area starting with grading during the month of December. Information regarding traffic impacts will be communicated as activities draw closer.
Road closures/lane restrictions
Utility relocation activity will begin in the intersection of Green Park Drive and Meadow Creek the week of Nov. 9. Various lane restrictions will be required for crews to complete these activities. Please use caution with changing traffic configurations when traveling through this area.
Walnut Hill/Hurd
Construction activity in scheduled to move into the Walnut Hill/Hurd area in November starting with utility relocations. Information regarding traffic impacts will be communicated as activities draw closer. Please note that all dates are tentative as they do not account for weather delays or other schedule impacts. Detour information will be provided as construction activities draw closer.
