Captain Bruce Jolley commands the Special Operations Division. This division consists of the traffic, tactical, and K9 units as well as the school crossing guard program. In addition to these police functions, we manage special events and Texas Stadium security. The traffic section provides targeted enforcement in order to reduce the risk of motor vehicle collisions. The tactical unit is trained in high risk warrant service and dignitary protection. The K9 unit is cross trained in tracking and narcotics detection. The school crossing guard programs main goal is the safe transit of school aged children across heavily traveled roads. In addition to these full time details, we oversee the bomb technicians, Honor Guard, and Civic Center security.
