The City of Irving Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to offer a variety of innovative programs to the community. There is a Senior Activity Center, gazebos that can be reserved, picnic shelters, and buildings available for club and private use. Seasonal pools and a year round Natatorium provide aquatic opportunities.
Over 2,000 acres of parkland awaits exploration through amenities such as picnicking, fishing, hiking/biking trails, disc golf, and playgrounds. Special events, athletic fields, tennis and basketball courts provide even more opportunities for you to fill your every recreational need.

There are currently 43 parks with over 2000 acres of land maintained by the City of Irving Parks and Recreation Department. Activities available include picnicking, hiking/biking trails, sports of all kinds, fishing, swimming, recreation centers, canoeing and boating. Aquatics
The City of Irving Parks and Recreation Department offers 6 seasonal pools and a year around indoor facility, North Lake Aquatic Center. The seasonal pools open with a FREE SPLASH DAY for the first day open of the season and are open until Labor Day.
