The Inspections Department is comprised of two divisions.  The Building Inspections (BI) Division administers plan reviews, issues electrical licenses, issues permits and conducts inspections for building, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fences, signs, landscaping, and irrigation.

The Code Enforcement Division issues multi-family licenses, makes inspections of apartments , substandard housing, , pools, junk vehicles, outside storage, zoning, nuisance violations, and air.
