Call (972) 721-8059 to inquire about your refuse/garbage collection schedule, or visit Irving's Interactive Maps. Click on the link below - Enter your address on the right side and select find address. Then select Refuse/Garbage Route Zones under the Solid Waste Services folder and select update map. http://www.cityofirving.org/information-technology/webmaps/index.html

Collection Tips you need to know:
  • Refuse should be placed at your curbside, not in the street.
  • Refuse should be placed at curb no earlier than 6 p.m. the evening prior to collection. Refuse should be placed at the curb no later than 7 a.m. the morning of collection.
  • Items must be bagged weighing less than 50 pounds per bag.
  • Residents are required to place all hypodermic needles in a container that cannot be punctured, such as an empty coffee can, plastic milk jug, or soda bottle with lid placed securely on the container and taped closed. Call Solid Waste Services at (972) 721-2232 to arrange for a special pick up.
  • Large items (furniture, appliances, brush) are collected with the brush/bulky waste collection.
  • Place your trash in plastic bags (20-30 gallon capacity/ minimum 2 millimeter thickness) or paper refuse bags (2 ply / 50 pound wet strength) and closed securely.
  • Paint, oil, oil filters, automotive batteries, tires and vegetable oil are collected by the special waste collections vehicle. Additionally, some of these materials can be taken directly to the Landfill.
