Gas Remediation Plan
In accordance with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Municipal Solid Rules and specifically 30 TAC §305.70(l), the City of Irving has revised the Gas Remediation Plan for the Hunter Ferrell Landfill. These revisions provide an interceptor trench along the eastern limits of the West Tract of the landfill. This trench has been installed to prevent the subsurface migration of methane gas. The TCEQ also requires that upon submittal of an application, the owner (City of Irving) provide a complete copy of the application on a publicly accessible Internet Web site. This Internet posting is for informational purposes only. Click here to review the permit modification submitted.
