Terms and Conditions

Please read carefully for a description of the Terms and Conditions under which you may use this site. If you do not accept the terms listed here, you will not be allowed to list items on Irving’s Material Exchange. By listing items on Irving’s Material Exchange Web site, you are accepting the Terms and Conditions described below.

1.  Listing items on Irving’s Material Exchange is free and there is no charge to use this service.   

2.  Irving’s Material Exchange is a vehicle for users to list items for exchange and for searchers to acquire items.  The City of Irving will not be involved in the actual transaction between listers and responders. The City of Irving will have no control over the quality, safety or legality of the items listed, the truth or accuracy of the listing, or the legal ownership of an item to give away.

3.  The City of Irving is not involved in the actual transfer of goods. If you have a dispute with a responder(s), you release the City of Irving and its elected officials, agents and employees, from all claims, demands and damages arising out of the use of Irving’s Material Exchange.

4.  The City of Irving reserves the right to refuse a listing deemed to be inappropriate or unacceptable. Click here to see the list of Acceptable and Non-Acceptable Items. 

5.  Listers agree to report weights of item(s) listed, successful exchanges, decision to keep items or disposal methods of item(s) to help insure the accuracy of the items listed and to measure the success of the program.

6.  Responders agree to comply with all applicable laws, statutes, ordinances and regulations regarding use of this service.

7.  The City of Irving will not release or sell any personal identification information (except where required to do so by law). This site does not sell email lists or addresses.
