Investigators Receive Awards - Department Receives Forfeited Funds

Irving Police Investigators, Brian Schutt and Steve Junker, joined forces with the Internal Revenue Service's Special Agent Steve Pennington and Asset Forfeiture Specialist Courtney Machtemes as part of an IRS Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force. They were recently honored after their successful completion of a very detailed and difficult operation. The operation, conducted this past year, resulted in federal seizure of U.S. currency and property. Harlan Carter, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Western District of the IRS (based in San Antonio) traveled to Irving to personally show his appreciation and present plaques to the investigators for their hard work and accomplishments.
