Civilian Employee of the 1st Quarter 2006 Announced

Thomas Hamilton

The Employee of the Quarter Committee has selected Senior Property & Evidence Technician Thomas Hamilton as the Civilian Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2005. Tom was nominated by his supervisor, Richard Parker, who wrote:

"I have been the Property & Evidence Supervisor now for a little over five weeks. During that time I have been extremely impressed with the professionalism of every Property & Evidence Technician. I have also found the officers I’ve come in contact with have been very professional, friendly, and helpful. I would like to nominate Tom Hamilton for the Civilian of the First Quarter. During the interim after Butch Murden retired and I was hired Tom acted as the Property & Evidence Supervisor. During my first few weeks he has been extremely patient and helpful while introducing me to the procedures, forms, etc. involved with the Property & Evidence function. His attention to detail as well as his computer skills set a standard for each of the other employees. That same attention to detail helps insure that no property is mistakenly released, lost, or inappropriately destroyed. The skills possessed by this employee would be extremely difficult to find in another individual if, heaven forbid, he ever decided to pursue other options.”

Tom was hired in 1998 and transferred to the Property Section in 2002. He has two sons, serving in the Navy and a new grandaughter “Madison.”

Thanks for your dedication Tom, and congratulations on being the Employee of the Quarter!
