Civilian Employee of the 2nd Quarter 2006 Announced

The Employee of the Quarter Committee has selected Dispatcher II Terry Gierling as the Civilian Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2006. Terry was nominated by his supervisor, Bonnie Pollock, who wrote:
"Dispatcher II Terry Gierling has been tasked with building the geo-file for the new CAD/TI System that will be going live in August 2006. Terry has tackled this assignment with enthusiasm taking on a large portion of the file migration as well.
The CAD/TI workgroup working with Terry has come to depend on his skills and expertise with the new system and rely on him for his computer knowledge and ability to simplify complex instructions for table building.
Terry Gierling has worked many long hours and given up time with his wife and small son to ensure the successful transition to CAD/TI. His dedication to this project while fulfilling all other normal duties makes him a good candidate for the first 2006 Civilian Employee of the Quarter.”
Terry joined the department in November 1999 as a detention officer. He transferred into the Communications Section in July 2000, and he is currently a Dispatcher III.
Thanks for your dedication Terry, and congratulations on being the Employee of the Quarter!
