Rape Aggression Defense Systems
The Irving PAL will be hosting numerous Rape Aggression Defense Systems (R.A.D.) classes throughout the year.
The program is for women only and is made up of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. R.A.D. not only teaches basic self-defense but also focuses on awareness, risk reduction and avoidance. The course is taught by Irving police officers who are nationally certified R.A.D. instructors. The goal of the program is to develop and enhance the options of self-defense, so they may become viable considerations to women who are attacked.
Once someone has completed the initial program, they are given a free lifetime return and practice policy, honored throughout the United States and Canada. This program is a great opportunity for women of all skill levels. The class is split into 3 hour sessions that are spread out over 4 days. This allows those with a busy work day the ability to attend.
