Captain Coulon started his career at the Irving Police Department as a patrol officer in 1993 after receiving his Bachelor Degree rom Baylor University.  In addition to his time as a patrol officer, Captain Coulon has served in various supervisory roles in the North and South Patrol Divisions, Communications, Gang and Intelligence Unit, Vice and Narcotics Unit and the department's Municipal Jail Facility.  Captain Coulon received his Master of Science Criminal Justice Degree from the University of North Texas and is a graduate of the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration's Management College.  Captain Coulon now commands the Special Operations Division, which consists of Tactical, Traffic, Vice and Narcotics Sections.
