Professional Biography:

Captain Redburn began his career with the Irving Police Department in December 1996. He was promoted to sergeant in 2002, to lieutenant in 2006, and to captain in 2011. Captain Redburn has been assigned to both the North and South Patrol Divisions as a patrol officer, sergeant, and lieutenant. He also served as a supervisor in the department's Personnel Section, and as commander over the Professional Standards Unit. He obtained a bachelor of science degree in Criminology and Political Science from Florida State University in 1994.
