Captain Coulon started his career at the Irving Police Department as a patrol officer in 1993 after receiving his bachelor degree from Baylor University. In addition to his time as a patrol officer, David has served in various supervisory roles (sergeant/lieutenant) in North Patrol, South Patrol, Communications, Gang/Intelligence Unit, Vice/Narcotics Unit and the department's Municipal Jail facility.
