Budget Input Opportunities, Budget Retreat Information
Residents are invited to provide input on the fiscal year 2013-14 budget (see the Proposed Operating Budget) to help shape the future of the City of Irving. Below are just a few of the interactive public input opportunities available to Irving residents.
Interactive Budget RetreatA live interactive Budget Retreat set for Aug. 22-23 will allow residents to provide input by telephone, email or comment card. The interactive Budget Retreat will be televised on ICTN 2 (AT&T U-verse 99, ictn.tv, Time Warner Channel 95, and Verizon Channel 31). Inquiries and comments will be addressed during designated times and then posted to the Ask the Budget Guy Web page.
Online InputResidents provided input on the budget during public hearings held earlier this year. Additional comments can be made to the city council online on any aspect of the budget including property tax rates, water and sewer rates, and sanitation fees using the Ask the Budget Guy Web page. The service offers taxpayers accurate information regarding financial matters and direct access to the "Budget Guy.”"
Residents can ask the Budget Guy questions regarding the FY 2013–14 budget by sending an email to email@example.com. The Budget Guy will respond to all questions and post answers to the city's Know the Facts Web page. Submittals are subject to editing for content, tone and clarity.
