WebCard Sign-up

No library card? No problem!

Want to place a hold on an item, but don’t have an Irving Public Library card? Complete this form and our staff will register you online and e-mail you a library card number that can be used to place items on hold as well as access the library’s databases; generally, you will receive your number within 24 hours, but this may take an extra day over the weekends or holidays.

If you need immediate access to the databases, submit the form, then call the Circulation Department (during regular library hours) at (972) 721-2440.

The Irving Public Library WebCard is designed for online users who do not already have a library card. It will allow you to place hold requests on materials from our catalog before you have visited a library location, in addition to allowing access to various databases that are limited to IPL card holders.

The WebCard expires after 90 days. It does not allow you to check out materials. To do so, you must visit the library and complete the registration process in person (identification may be required).
