The file contains a photocopy of a scrapbook relating to the activities of the Taylor family from 1952-1992. The scrapbook is comprised of newspaper articles from Irving and Dallas newspapers and the San Augustine Tribune from San Augustine, Texas.

John Taylor and his brother-in-law Tom Alvis, a long-time city of Irving employee, opened Gold Star Automatic Laundry at 219 W. Sixth Street in Irving in 1959. Mr. Taylor also owned Federal Printing at 719 N. Britain Road in Irving from 1946-1976. Ruth Taylor was active in civic and social clubs in Irving for over 50 years. The scrapbook reflects her involvement with the Irving Green Thumb Garden Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution. The Taylor's daughter, Dorothy, was a soloist with the Dallas Ballet Theatre during the 1960s.
