The file contains a single page on which is depicted a layout of the Jap Lee Airport and a description of the facilities and services provided by the airport, 1960. A stamp on the page indicates that the airport will be abandoned September 1, 1960. The Jap Lee Airport was a private airfield located on the west side of what today is MacArthur Blvd. just south of Northgate Dr. Thomas Jasper (T.J. or Jap) Lee, an airline pilot stationed at Love Field in Dallas, built the field on his property in Irving in 1947. Lee died in 1955. His wife continued operating the airport until 1960.
