Description

The collection contains three scanned images, c. 1910s: one of Ostrand’s original store building at the southwest corner of Main St. and First St. (Irving Blvd.) in Irving, Texas; one of Vic Ostrand and his sister and niece; and one of a log cabin. The file also contains photocopies of various insurance policies that were maintained on the Ostrand store building from 1922 to 1932. Ostrand's, one of Irving’s first businesses, was a general store. It was also home to the city’s first pool table. The site was later the location of Irving Drug Store for forty years from the 1930s to the 1970s. It has since held several different businesses.
