     The file contains a publication put out by the Irving Chamber of Commerce urging businesses to move to the city.  The booklet was published in about 1950. It contains descriptions of Irving’s climate and the resources, housing, schools, and businesses located in the community. There are pictures showing various scenes of Irving, c. 1950. The file also contains a 24-page report entitled "Our Kessler Plan for Our Irving Community." It is a report put together in cooperation with the Secretary of the Kessler Plan Association, May 31 – June 10, 1938. The report suggests ways in which Irving and the local communities can improve their surroundings and lay out a plan for future development.  George Kessler was a renowned city planner for the city of Dallas in the early decades of the Twentieth Century.
