     The file contains a copy of the first six chapters of Betty Ferguson’s autobiography. Betty Ferguson is the daughter of Nel Jennings Ryan and Fred Dilihanty. She was born June 10, 1928, and grew up in eastern Irving. She taught for 25 years at SMU. In these six chapters she discusses her father's death at an early age and her mother moving the family to live with her sister in Irving during the 1930s.
