The collection consists of recorded interviews with Mary Morton; Robert Power; and a group of women from the Bear Creek community. The group discussion pertains primarily to home furnishings in Bear Creek in the 1920s-1940s. Mary Morton discusses the churches and school. Robert Power discusses Bear Creek history. The USGS maps are of Irving and Euless. The remainder of the material is a Sowers Cemetery listing and a few pages of notes about Dallas County and Texas based on the census records of the late 19th century.
The audiotapes have been moved to the Oral History Collection as tape number 061. The maps have been moved to the Map Collection.
The Bear Creek Museum is located in the Jackie Townsell Bear Creek Heritage Center.
