Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a sub-division of the Information Technology Department that provides mapping and GIS support for the computer user departments and the public. The division is responsible for maintaining all GIS data sets, providing technical assistance, training departments in the use of GIS software, and developing GIS applications.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
The intent of this Web Maps web pages are to provide the public with access to Irving's Geographic Information System (GIS). Users are able to view and interact with live GIS maps, download drawing files of selected layers, view the GIS data dictionary, contact GIS staff, and use links to navigate to other useful sites.
