Neighborhood Improvements
The city remains focused on strengthening one neighborhood at a time. This effort involves all city services, working in partnership with community stakeholders in a comprehensive manner to affect positive change and improve quality of life in our neighborhoods. Some of these efforts include:
• Neighborhood Enhancement Program – currently working with South Austin Heights Neighborhood.
• Formed the Meadow Lark, South Austin Heights and two neighborhood associations yet to be named.
• 13 Community Partnership Grants totaling $17,237 were awarded to neighborhood and homeowner associations.
• Two existing staff positions are now focused on neighborhoods.
