A. Update on Towne Hall Concepts
Dwight Pinnix made a Power Point presentation highlighting the most talked about topics from the Advisory Council meetings in going forward with the Town Hall concept.
Paul Gooch reminded the board that the January award nominations are due but Paul extended the deadline for more entries. Paul informed the board that there is a small park near Valley View and 635 that was donated by a family in California around six years ago. Through maneuvering of money and effort, the Parks Department has done some basic improvement to the land such as parking lot, signage and shelters. Paul also informed the board that with the adoption of the budget as long as bond sale goes as currently planned, we will finish the park.
The family who donated the land requested a dedication of the Park on November 24th while the family will be in Irving. Paul encouraged the Board members to attend.
