  2. Summer Movie with Snacks: Wreck It Ralph (rated PG)

    Kids and teens, ages 18 and younger, are invited to beat the heat with a popular film and healthy snack. No identification or library card is required. Healthy snacks are administered at the East Branch throughout the summer Mondays through Thursdays and Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. Supplied by the Texas Department of Agriculture through Irving Independent School District Food and Nutrition Services.

  3. Chapter Books and Cozy Nooks Book Club discusses Geronimo Stilton's Flight of the Red Bandit (special time)

    July 21, 2018, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM @ South Irving Library Discovery Zone

    Grades 1-3 discuss a travel-themed book and participate in related activities, including a craft. Free chapter books are given out monthly. Limited to the first 10 children. This month's selection is Geronimo Stilton's The Flight of the Red Bandit.

    This book club meets on the South Irving Library's 2nd floor in study room "C," next to the Kids' Zone and the Discovery Zone area.

  1. Girls Who Code

    Girls in grades 6-12 are invited to join up every other Saturday and learn how to code! We'll learn HTML, SQL, JavaScript and CSS for websites, animation and more. Space is limited and registration is required. Sign-up for this class begins on July 16 at the Valley Ranch Library Information Desk. Participants must bring their own laptops.
