Animal Services

  1. Free Cat Adoptions

    June 1, 2018 - June 30, 2018 @ Irving Animal Care Campus

    June is Adopt-a-Cat Month at the Irving Animal Care Campus, 4140 Valley View Lane. Adoption fees for cats 1 year and older are waived during June, and kittens are available for a $50 adoption fee. Vaccinations, spay/neuter, leukemia test and microchip included with all cat adoptions.

    All adoptions must be processed 30 minutes before closing.

    Adults learn how to access websites and conduct internet searches. Basic computer skills are required. Classes are limited and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class time. No registration is required. Classes are in the computer lab unless otherwise noted.

    Discover the Inner Self, understand your connection with the universe and achieve your highest potential through Sahaja Yoga. This is a method of meditation for the mind, body, and soul. It reduces stress and boosts your health. This free Spanish language meditation program is presented by DFW Sahaja Yoga Meditation. Classes will take place from 7-8 p.m., every Wednesday, starting May 2 in the South Library Board Room. Non-Spanish speakers and all ages are welcome.

  1. Pooches on the Patio

    June 13, 2018, 9:30 AM - 11:15 AM @ Heritage Senior Center

    Enjoy a nice day on the patio with your pooch. This small gathering is to enjoy a day in the sunshine. Light refreshments will be served and a raffle will take place. All members are invited even if you don’t have a pooch. All pooches must be current on their shots and shot records will be required to participate. Ages 50 and older. Admission is free. Registration deadline is June 6.
