  1. Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Series: The Choice is Yours

    In the final class session of this series, learn tools for managing your weight.

    This free bilingual seven-part series presents nutrition classes and recipe demonstrations. The program will help you learn how to make healthy and safe food choices, cook for your family, get the most for your money, and stay physically active. The class meets on Thursdays from 1-3 p.m. Class will not be held on May 24. For more information, please call (214) 688-0903.

    Designed for those diagnosed prediabetic, this class educates attendees on how to prevent the disease. Open to adults 18 and older.

Police Department

  1. Dream Court Dedication, Ribbon-Cutting and Shoot-around

    May 31, 2018, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Rose Meadows Park

    Following the ribbon-cutting, youth can participate in a shoot-around with Irving Police. Snacks and drinks for the children will be provided.

    Nancy Lieberman Charities has teamed with Sport Court, the City of Irving and the Irving Police Department to provide a Dream Court to foster the relationship between officers and the communities they serve. Located at Northwest Park, 2800 Cheyenne St., this Irving Dream Court is the 56th in the nation.

    Dream Courts are top-quality, multipurpose play spaces built in underserved communities so children have a safe area to shoot hoops, socialize and learn about teamwork and good sportsmanship.
