Animal Services

  1. $20 Adoption Event

    March 17, 2018, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Adoption Kennels

    Irving Animal Services is offering all adoptable animals for a discounted adoption fee of only $20. Normally, the adoption fees range from $70 to $100.

    Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid form of identification.

    Animals being adopted will be:
    • Up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies if the animal is more than four months of age
    • Spayed or neutered
    • Given a general dewormer, and treated for fleas and ticks
    • Microchipped and registered with 24PetWatch
    • Heartworm tested (dogs over 6 months of age)
    • FeLV / FIV tested (cats over 6 months of age)
    • Given 30 days of 24PetWatch pet insurance (with a valid email address)
    • Given a sample bag of Science Diet food

  1. Irving Tennis Classic

    March 12, 2018 - March 18, 2018 @ Four Seasons Resort and Club

    The Irving Tennis Classic (ITC) event returns March 12-18 to the Four Seasons Resort and Club, 4150 N. MacArthur Blvd., for its annual stop on the ATP Challenger Tour. The ITC and the tour feature professional tennis competition for current and future stars from around the world. Players will compete to earn valuable ATP Ranking points and prize money of $150,000. Spectators will have exciting opportunities to see and meet tennis players, coaches and many others who share a love of tennis. The City of Irving, ITC sponsors, and the Four Seasons Golf and Sports Club at Las Colinas, are pleased to welcome tennis fans across Texas and the world for this international tennis event.

    Hop to it! Irving Public Library joins the Irving Art Association to celebrate the art of Beatrix Potter and her famous book series The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Learn the art of watercolors, paint with carrots, make crafts and more. Irving Public Library and the Irving Turf Turners Garden Club will introduce the new South Irving Library Seed Exchange service so you can grow a garden with bunny snacks, and a garden that rivals the one planted by the book's character Mr. McGregor.
