  1. “The Nutcracker,” presented by Ballet Ensemble of Texas (BET)

    This production is a must-see for balletomanes who follow the future dancers of tomorrow. BET alumna Emily Dixon, who danced most recently with the Colorado Ballet, will be performing the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy, and will be partnered by the talented and critically acclaimed danseur Shea Johnson as her cavalier in their annual production of “The Nutcracker.” Bonus! Meet the cast and enjoy tea and sweets, following the matinee performance on Dec. 2.

  2. 25th Annual Holiday Exhibition and Tree Decorating Competition

    December 1, 2017, All Day @ Main Gallery

    A tradition now in its 25th year. The Irving Arts Center’s Main Gallery is transformed into a wonderland of decorated holiday trees and holiday-inspired artwork from Irving elementary students. The trees are up for cash prizes and bragging rights with celebrity judges and visitors voting on their favorites throughout the month. Viewer’s Choice votes for favorite tree can be cast in person through Dec. 18, while online voting will be conducted Dec. 1-31 on Irving Arts Center’s Facebook page.
