City of Irving Events

  1. Irving Arts Center Farmers Market

    November 18, 2017, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Irving Arts Center

The markets are designed to replicate the European-style markets, where individuals can meet local farmers, artisanal food producers and crafts people, and purchase products in a colorful, family-friendly venue. Local foods and music also are planned to provide attendees an opportunity to dine while enjoying the market.

In addition, the Irving Arts Farmers Market features "The Community Garden," where Irving residents are invited to sell their homegrown fruits and vegetables at the farmers market free of charge. Four Seasons Markets will supply a canopy and table space (2 feet by 6 feet) to the first three home gardeners to arrive; more gardeners can take advantage of the offer if space allows.

  1. Sister Act

    November 3, 2017 - November 18, 2017 @ Dupree Theater

When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she’s thrown into protective custody in the one place she’d never be spotted — a convent! Her loud, abrasive nature doesn’t mesh well with the rigid, uptight nuns, but that won’t stop her from breathing new life into the church and, in the process, blowing her cover. It’s divine musical comedy, inspired by the smash hit 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg.
