  1. Holiday Closing / No Trash Pickup

    December 25, 2017, All Day @ Various city facilities

    There will be no residential trash, curbside recycling or brush collection Dec. 25. In addition the following facilities will be closed:

    • City Hall.
    • The Hunter Ferrell Landfill, libraries and recreation centers.
    • The Heritage Senior Center and Heritage Aquatic Center.
    • The Irving Arts Center.

  2. Hunter Ferrell Landfill Opens at 9 a.m.

    December 27, 2017, All Day @ Hunter Ferrell Municipal Solid Waste Landfill

    The Hunter Ferrell Landfill Scalehouse and Administration Complex opens at 9 a.m. the last Wednesday of each month to accommodate staff training.

    For the month of December, the Arts Center Farmers Marlket will be celebrating the holidays with additional vendors, special décor, seasonal products and holiday cheer!

    The markets are designed to replicate the European-style markets, where individuals can meet local farmers, artisanal food producers and crafts people, and purchase products in a colorful, family-friendly venue. Local foods and music also are planned to provide attendees an opportunity to dine while enjoying the market.
