Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday - 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday - Noon to 4 p.m.
Closed Sundays and holidays

Adoption of an animal means responsibility for the care of the animal and meeting of the conditions set forth by the city ordinance and public health laws.


Fees

Pet adoption:  $70 to $100, depending on the animal 
Impound:  $50 
Daily maintenance:     $6 per day or part thereof 
Rabies vaccination:  $10, if owner is unable to prove documentation of a current rabies vaccination 
Microchip:  $10, if reclaimed animal is not currently microchipped 



Owner Responsibilities:

If you fail to have the adopted animal vaccinated for rabies within 5 days and spayed or neutered within 30 days, the City of Irving will file cases in municipal court based on Chapter 6 of the Irving Code of Civil and Criminal Offenses.

The spay and neutering of puppies and kittens shall occur at 6 months of age.
