Not only can you earn great prizes for reading and listening to captivating reads, you're also welcomed to attend a wide range of exciting events for Adults. This summer is bound to be a symphony of fun!

Here are just a few events the Irving Public Library has in store for you this summer. 

South Irving Library, 601 Schulze Drive

Irving Chautauqua Presents Window to the Wild’s live Bird Show, June 9, 2 p.m.

You don’t have to venture to the amazon jungle to view exotic birds. Take a peek through Window to the Wild's live Bird Show at South Library. This unique and unforgettable visual experience will feature birds free-flying naturally in groups due to Window to the Wild's skills in harnessing the bird's innate habits and turning instinctive behavior into a breathtaking performance.

June 20, 7 p.m.
Rockin’ to the Oldies Decades Dance

June 29, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Pull out your poodle skirt, bell bottoms, or tie-dye shirt and groove to the oldies from the '50s to the '80s. Sign up to play "Name That Tune!" during South's Rockin' to the Oldies Decades Dance. Bring the entire family for this fun-filled after-hours event.

West Irving Library, 4444 W. Rochelle Road

Trivia on the Patio, Meets bi-monthly on Thursday, 7:30- 8:30 p.m. Ages 16 and up.

June 14: Rock on! Music 

June 28: Classical Music Greats       

How well are you in tune with Elvis, Bach, rock and Hamilton the musical? Strain your brain for fun! Put your thinking cap on and head over to West Library's Trivia on the Patio. Compete in this friendly game show contest and see who is crowned the King of Pop-trivia.

Movie Musicals, bi-monthly Saturday events at 4 p.m. Ages 13 and up.

June 30: The Greatest Showman         

If you’d rather experience a relaxing and entertaining evening visit Valley Ranch Library and sing along to the screen during their summer Movie Musicals. Popular musicals from past and present will be shown every other Saturday beginning June 16th.

Every Monday and Wednesday, 7 to 8 p.m. All ages welcome.    

 Are you looking to pump up the jam and rock yourself to the beat all while having fun and getting fit? This summer, East Branch Library will host Zumba bi-weekly during the months of June and July. Zumba is an exercise fitness program under the guise of dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. You'll have so much fun movin' and groovin' you won't even realize you're working out.
