WaterMyYard.org Promotes Smart Irrigation

Watering flowers with a handheld hose and sprayer.

The City of Irving wants to help residents by taking the guesswork out of watering their lawns. Residents and businesses are encouraged to set up an account at the WaterMyYard.org website, which will send weekly updates with the exact amount of time needed to water turf and garden areas, given the local weather conditions. The Irving Water Conservation Division reminds everyone that the year-round irrigation limit of no more than twice-per-week not only saves water, but helps plants develop deeper, more resilient root systems that better withstand hot summers.

To register, go to WaterMyYard.org. Visit CityofIrving.org/798 or call (972) 721-2281 for more information and more water-conserving tips.
