From Book to Big Screen

B2BS newsflash

Winter weather have you cooped up?  No worries, join Irving Public Library as we celebrate leisure reading this winter, focusing on books written for adults that have been adapted to film. Pick up or download specially prepared booklists starting Jan. 15 and explore the exciting variety of stories that have made it to the big screen.

The Reading Challenge

Read 5 books found in the library's adult book collection and log them using Beanstack (see instructions below) between January 15 and March 15. After logging the five titles you've read, we will email you with instructions on how to pick up your prize.

Win a limited edition coffee mug and $5 in Friends of the Irving Public Library's Book Bucks (both while supplies last). Book bucks can be redeemed for books at any library location, or during a one-time visit to the Friends of the Library's members-only monthly book sale at their warehouse.

Participants who complete the challenge will also be entered into a drawing to win one of seven prizes from the Friends:

  • One annual Family membership
  • One annual Single membership
  • One of five green Friends of the Library book bags
