Winter Reading Challenge: From Book to Big Screen

2018-01-library

Which is better, the movie or the book? Residents, ages 18 and older, can decide for themselves during the Irving Public Library Winter Reading Challenge (WRC). The challenge runs from Jan. 15 to March 15. Celebrate leisure reading by exploring books that have been adapted to film. Pick up specially prepared booklists at any Irving library location and explore the exciting array of stories that have made it to the big screen. Residents also may want to attend a WRC movie screening or share a reading experience at one of the library’s many book clubs.

Complete the challenge by reading five books to win a limited edition coffee mug and $5 in Friends Bucks, which can be used to purchase used books at Irving libraries or at the Friends warehouse. Anyone who completes the challenge also will be entered into the WRC drawing to win book bags, Friends memberships and more! The WRC is sponsored by the Friends of the Irving Public Library.
