IAS Hosting Teacher's Pet Adoption Event Sept. 23

Irving Animal Services is holding a 'Teacher's Pet' adoption day 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Irving Animal Care Campus, 4140 Valley View Lane. Adoption fees will be waived for all dogs and cats 1 year and older.

Animals being adopted will be:

  • Up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies if the animal is more than 4 months of age.
  • Spayed or neutered.
  • Given a general dewormer and flea prevention.
  • Microchipped and registered with 24PetWatch.
  • Heartworm tested (dogs over 6 months of age).
  • FeLV / FIV tested.
  • Given 30 days of 24PetWatch pet insurance with a valid email address.
  • Given a sample bag of Hill's Science Diet food.

All adoptions must be processed 30 minutes prior to closing. 

The public also is invited to donate to the Irving Animal Services Animal Assistance Fund, which promotes resident safety and ensures that animals are provided a safe and healthy environment.
