The Friends of Irving Public Library Annual Book Sale

Is your love of reading only surpassed by your love of saving money? Indulge in both of your passions this year at the Friends of the Irving Public Library Annual Book Sale from June 1-4 at the Friends Warehouse, 3000 Rock Island Road.

The sale begins Thursday, June 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the exclusive Friends Members-Only Preview Night. Want to get a head start on all the great deals, but you’re not a member of the Friends? You can purchase a membership at the door. Individual annual memberships start at $15 and will get you access throughout the year to the Members Only First Wednesday Book Sales.

Beginning Friday at 10 a.m. the doors open to the general public. Shop our excellent selection of gently used books, DVDs, magazines, audiobooks and more, all at bargain prices. Stock up on beach reads for your next vacation, or create an extensive home library for the family. See how much money you can save with hundreds of items priced at a dollar or less. All year long, Friends volunteers have been hand-selecting the best of library and public donations, including children’s books, for this occasion. The sale continues Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and runs Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Proceeds benefit the Irving Public Library system and support other literacy efforts around our community. This year, make sure to use social media to brag about your book sale hauls and help spread the word about this wonderful opportunity to your friends and family.
