Snow days are a rarity in Texas, but the City of Irving plans to welcome winter's flurries during its first Frost Fest. The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. January 28 at Cimarron Park, 100 Cimarron Trail. Attendees will have a chance to enjoy the fun side of winter weather - without the freezing rain and slick roads.

The Irving Public Library will be hosting story readings, puppet shows, crafts and more inside Cimarron Park Recreation Center. Other attractions include an ice carving demonstration and meet and greet with popular children's characters. Concessions will be available for purchase.
