The Economic Development Department encourages business development and redevelopment through the use of various economic incentives as well as promoting business retention and expansion activities which support and grows Irving's strong economic base.
The Economic Development Department also provides real estate services in support of various projects conducted by other city departments and private property owners.
Economic Development work is divided into two areas:
To purchase surplus property owned by the City of Irving, fill out the Bidder's Notification Form (PDF) with the city's Purchasing Department to receive notices regarding future solicitations or sales. Real estate and property is listed as category 26.
