About Towne is a biweekly half-hour arts series that highlights Irving’s excellent local artists and craftsmen, entertainment venues and arts organizations. It also serves the viewing audience by publicizing upcoming concerts, performances, festivals and events.

We’ll go fly a kite with Irving dads and kids at the Father’s Day Kite Flying Event. We’ll attend a Chinese Garden Party at the Irving Arts Center. We’ll rediscover an Irving gem:  Cool River Café. We’ll check out a family workout at Camp Gladiator, and we’ll have highlights from the Fiesta Tecaliso concert at Toyota Music Factory. Plus, we’ll have an update on hot summer movies at Irving’s three cinemas.

July 19-August 1


Next time on About Towne we’ll honor our troops at the Fourth of July Parade. We’ll celebrate Independence Day with a concert & fireworks. We’ll look back at the 2018 Juneteenth Celebration. We’ll have highlights from Children’s Day at the Theater. And we’ll have a preview of MainStage Irving /Las Colinas’ “George Washington Slept Here.” Plus, we’ll have an update on hot summer movies at Irving’s three cinemas.
