City Accessibility
Incorporated in 1914, Irving is located between Dallas and Fort Worth in the heart of the Metroplex. More than 217,000 people live in Irving, which boasts beautiful country clubs, golf courses, and highly acclaimed public, private, and charter schools. Housing options range from urban lofts to executive neighborhoods. The city is easily accessible with major highways run through the city and the Dallas Area Rapid Transit and Trinity Rail Express lines service Irving. Moreover, the fourth largest airport in the United States - the Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport - also is located in Irving and serves as the region’s global gateway.

Las Colinas Community

Irving’s master-planned Las Colinas community boasts the largest business park in North Texas, and is home to nine Fortune 1000 global headquarters including the likes of Exxon Mobil and Kimberly-Clark. Business interests and convenient location help fuel the numerous conferences and conventions held at the high tech, award-winning Irving Convention Center.

Malcolm Baldrige Award Recipient
The City of Irving is the second city in the country to have received the Malcolm Baldrige Award (2012), the nation’s highest presidential honor for performance excellence, and is the only city to have received the Texas Award for Performance Excellence (2011).

Signature Events

Signature events include the HP Byron Nelson Championship; the Dragon Boat, Kite and Lantern Festival; and various concerts and marathons are held throughout the year. With visual and performing arts groups, two symphony orchestras, youth arts programs, and a wealth of sports and entertainment options nearby - including a 22 mile riverside biking and hiking trail - Irving is a vibrant and eclectic city.
